Hello : )

I'm new to scrapping -- hence -- scrap_bimbo -- it waz a toss between bimbo and blur : )

I'm going to NYC for work in early May 2008 -- and wondering if any of you have any intelligence about scrapping shops in and around NYC : )

I think there is a Kate's Paperie but it looks more Prints than MWL : )

Any inside information where i can get supplies will be most welcomed!!!

Have a great scrapping day!!! :yo:

Couldn't find any dedicated scrapbooking shops when I was there. You probably have to travel out of the city for those. You may be able to find some shops selling limited scrapbooking items but that's about all. There's a great street selling all kinds of ribbons and trinkets right in the city though. Not cheap, but fun if you love ribbons and trinkets.

My suggestion is to go to some USA scrapbooking website and posted your request..

Go to twopeasinabucket.com or similar forum.

Since most live there in USA, they should know better.

u might have better chance of finding one in new jersey which is close to NYC.. within NYC itself..there's a couple of shops in chelsea area (around E20th st area).. other than that.. have not really seen similar ones inside nyc as what u see her in MWL.

there is a craft store A.C. Moore at New Jersey side... like Spotlight... kelly and i paid our pilgrimage there almost everyday when we were in NJ last year... eh, can't remember the name of the area... but it's very near to new york, we took a bus service (about 20 mins) from our hotel to new york side everyday (except for the one day when we took the service during peak after-office hours and the traffic was terribly jammed... it took us an hour to get to new york!)... check address when i get home...

i would echo the sentiments of some pple above and suggest that you order online as the range is great and shipping cheap, if not minimal.
Alternatively, look in the back pages of the scrap mags Creating Keepsakes or Memory Makers as those often have a store listing by state -- you may be able to find what you need there.
Good luck!
