I lurve my Pink Squeeze! I bought mine at Art Frenzy for abt $150 .. or was it $120. It came with a set of alphabet dies. But LP had a better deal, it was a complete set -with a folder for your dies, Quickstik, and best of all an extremely CUTE handbag for you to tote your Squeeze around! Can't remember how much the set was, but I thot it was extremely worth it. Not sure if they still have that offer. Too bad I had bought mine first. :( Would have loved to get that handbag!

It's an investment, indeed. Some might not want to indulge in the tool, when there's other alternatives such as stencils and rub-ons. But I love the feel of the dies, that sort of texture and dimension.

But truth to be told, what really bought me over was the pink colour! :p

I saw the pink and black squeeze a Artzfrenzy selling for $209, which includes one set of mini alpha.. different for each color of squueze. Don't know if it is still available now... this was about two months back.

The one in LP is the purple set... very very cute and better value for money I think? It has many things inside.. and the most important its Purple LOL.. and is selling for $299.

that being said... I own none. Maybe someday... :)

QK is a tool, just like the MM instant setter or circle cutter or punches, that you most probably dont make use of very often. Its more of a wanna-have than need-to-have.

It does have very interesting dies(designs) which you cant achieve by hand-cutting.

Presently i find the packages offered by LSS is very good. Besides LP & Artfrenzy, JuniorDeArtist@Novena selling it too.

Bottomline, if you like punches, you will like QK. Why dont you try it out at the store & find it out for yourself?

Btw, i've the pink tool & i love it:)

About a year back I wanted the Quickutz *REEEEAAAL* bad ...... but now, naaaaahh ! The one thing that has stopped me is the prices of the dies and the need to update the sets as trends come and go so fast in SB. The only instance I can think of where it may be more useful is if you have children who do school craft or project work. Also, I feel the dies are for tags or cute-sy stuff , which I am not keen on ....... though I will add that Quickutz has prettier fonts than Sizix.

In the US, the Sizix and the Quickutz are losing popularity as the Pazzles and Craft Robo take over the die-cut slice of the market. They have more possibilities as the designs for the dies can be downloaded from online sites. Spore dosen't have it yet, but I guess it's a matter of time before it gets here via Challenger ? :)

I suppose the tech-savvy kind of tools would be way more expensive when they reach our shores. You think?

Aida, I like your nick - "Domestic Goddess" .... heehee ... like Nigella huh? Do you have her babelicious bod as well? Am so jealous of her hourglass figure ... heehee! I'm digressing as usual.

No lah ....... I got curves in the wrong places, Nigella-Lawson-gone-wrong maybe ? LOL !!!!

The craft robo retails for US $350, the Pazzels from US $600 upwards and the attraction is their limitless posibilities. But frankly, I don't see many/any Spore scrapper wanting to spend that kind of money ? It's better to spend money on a totally HOT camera like the Cannon EOS or the Nikon D70..... now THOSE are drool-worthy tools .......

I think the Pinky's a better deal cos it comes with an Alpha set, while the Purple comes with a set of shapes (tags I think). For me, I'll probably use the Alphas more often than the shapes. Anyway, you can actually buy the shapes individually. They're not a special set that only comes with the Purple Squeeze.

The purple set comes with the set of shapes and alpha dies.
But I still choose the pink one which has alpha Moxie.
