Fairly often scrappers are stumped when it comes to describing their style. Is it shabby ? Is it linear and clean ? Simple ? True to say most of us alternate between styles depending on what inspires us or on the ideas that pop into out heads. Everyone has a style they like and are most comfortable with but what makes a layout special is always the balance in design, the colour, some unusual technique in a visually pleasing blend that just fits ! One scrapper with an amazing designing eye who needs no introduction, with a style that is current and fresh is Piradee.

Crop attendees got dressed up for this crazy crop …. we had tennis players, a cyclist, a swimmer, a YOG volunteer who did a little “striptease”, and even a journalist who came complete with her very own handmade camera she created,  plus plenty of spectators!

But ultimately, by popular vote, it was this crop attendee who won the prize of $50 worth of Made With Love shopping vouchers. She came as a cyclist and had cycled all the way from Yio Chu Kang with crop bag and all!!!  Woohooo!!!

But if you are new to crops, we don’t just dress up for crops!!! Crop parties are also our excuse to have fun with team challenges … And at Saturday’s crop party, we had a cardmaking scrap challenge which challenged everyone in terms of speed and accuracy!!!

Wowoweee!! Did some teams get their act together real quick as production lines got started and cards were being churned out at breakneck speed.

Teams were provided scrapbook supplies and a prototype of a card to refer to and the fastest team to complete 5 cards would win prizes for the team!!!

Armed with Sizzix machines, dies and supplies, card after card was  churned out ….

But this team turned out to be the quickest and most accurate!!!

Team Germany’s rep waving her flag in victory here!!!

And parading the gold medal everyone received for coming to the crop!!

But that’s not all, as usual, what’s a crop without some shopping specials thrown in?

In the spirit of ScrapOlympics, we had a Speed Shopping Challenge where crop attendees were given 4 min to grab whatever their hands could carry for a very special one-time discount!!  But before that, they had to sprint to our main store from the workshop rooms….

It was tough keep everyone behind the starting line ….

But off they went when the timer started … as they sprinted to grab all that their hearts desired …

It was amazing how much they managed to grab in under 4min!!!

But back at the workshop rooms, there were other challenges like a quiz on fun facts about the recently concluded Youth Olympic Games in Singapore!

An overachieveing Team Japan even whipped out an I-pad to google for answers but ….

It was Team Singapore above who eventually won with the most number of answers correct!!

But would you believe it, amidst all the shopping and challenges …. crop attendees still managed to complete gorgeous projects like these which we managed to get snap shots of … …

Well … thanks to all who came and who were so sporting!!! We hope you had as much fun as we enjoyed having you!!!

It was a crazy 5-hour afternoon of ScrapOlympic fun and we can’t wait to scrapbook these pictures for our Made With Love scrapbook! Thanks for being a part of our wonderful memories!!!
