Layout of the Week #51

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

Do you feel as if the year has just whizzed past, and can you believe it’s ALREADY November ??? I’ve been talking to some of the regular scrappers in the shop and most have started on their Christmas scrap pressies or cards. Piradee spyed a piece in the Gallery perfect for this week’s feature …….

A Christmas card designed by  Colista

Piradee added …… *With Christmas not too far away, this card from colista really inspired me to get out my Christmas stash and start working on all those christmas cards and tags. I just love the composition of all the elements, the use of the glossy accents on the roof tiles and also the adorable mice with their presents. Super cute!!!*

Thank you Colista for sharing the card with us and for the inspiration to get scrappers strated on theirs !!

Irene-Gwen’s Fabric Mixed Challenge is now closed and the Design Team is in the process of voting. Remember to check the message board for the anouncement of the winning entry later today.

Have a great Sunday, I’ll be back tomorrow !!!

Each week a member of the Design Team has the pleasure of selecting a page with a mix of elements that make it unusual or different. There has been a burst of REALLY great layouts in the Gallery and it’s always so much fun looking through them to find one that will be featured here. We would like to encourage scrappers to post in the Gallery, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been scrapping, just share your layouts and you may get featured in this Blog !

For this time :

DT Inspirations from Creative Cafe

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

Last week, our DT got to play with Creative Cafe’s fun collections “Lucky” and “Spirit”. Here’s what they did:

:: Soo Jen ::

Used patterned papers from Creative Cafe by Creative Imaginations products on this LO. PPs were from the Double Vision range. Other Creative Cafe supplies included the buttons, felt wavy border strips. I used the CI notepaper in light blue as the base for the patterned papers. It was easy using the already curved edge of one side of the notepaper to trace and cut out the two curved strips of PPs.

Title, Bubbles of Fun was Making Memories foam stamps, stamped with MM black acrylic paint. Journalling with American Craft precision writer on perforated lines formed with the EK Success Cutter Bee Bugs.

Added some glitter and texture to the CI buttons and chipboard shapes with Sparkle Mod Podge. Also strung a cord string through the punched out holes following the already perforated notepaper.

:: Leena ::

The products used for this LO are patterned papers from Creative Cafe by Creative Imaginations, Double Vision collection, Creative Cafe buttons, felt wavy border strips & felt brads. Other products used are overlays from Hambly Screen Print, Prima flowers and foam letters from AC Thickers.

ps: Creative Cafe collections are available at MWL. :)
