Oh what a day it was yesterday at Made With Love!!! It almost felt like National Scrapbooking Day all over again as maaaaany of you came by and snapped up pleeenty of this week’s shipment of new arrivals!!!

And a number of you did not lose steam one bit by continuing to come in green from head to toe for yesterday’s Final Trendy Green Scrapper Challenge!!!

Thanks to Teresa who somehow juggled helping scrappers and taking photos at the same time, no doubt skipping meal and loo breaks … … we have this week’s photo list of scrappers who caught her eye yesterday for dressing trendily in green!!!

Some of you came in full force with daughters in tow … … wowoweeeee … …

This mother and daughter team were such a refreshing sight with their beautiful floral print apparel …

And this mother and daughter team exuded a peaceful calm with their soothing green tops … …

At the same time, this hip scrapping mother looked funky and hip in her ensemble while her daughter in the middle of the pic was adorably preppy in her outfit!

Some came dressed trendily business-like … …

… … whilst others were trendily casual chic in green … …

 It was a tough choice but in the end, the little budding scrapper in the photo below got our vote!!!

She looks adorably trendy in her green cardigan and green plaid skirt. She accented her outfit with a bright green ribbon sash which made her really stand out!!! She wins $20 worth of Made With Love vouchers for her own enjoyment or mommy’s …. heheheheh … *wink* *wink*

Once again, thank you one and all for being walking reminders of our pledge to be environmentally-friendly by dressing in green. As mentioned, we are after all not exactly slowing down the rate of deforestation with our paper hoarding addictions. :P However, there ARE pleeeenty of other ways in which we can protect and conserve our environment! So let’s do all that we can to leave behind a world that is better, if not, no less worse off than now, for our future generations!!!

It was a lovely way to kickstart our National Scrapbooking Month celebrations … … with our Trendy Green Scrapper Challenge as familiar faces to Made With Love jumped full swing into one of our fun activities for the month and played dress-up!

If you haven’t already read our May ‘08 Loveletter, then what this challenge required was for scrappers to simply dress as trendily as possible in green when paying us a visit! Why green? You may ask … … Well, simply because the theme of this month’s National Scrapbooking Month celebrations is to ‘go green’ … … to start thinking about how as Made With Love scrappers, we can all do our bit for our environment as well … … We are after all not exactly impeding deforestation with this crazy passion of ours! :p

So we thought, having you dress up this month on Thursdays in green would not only be a fun thing to do but also double-up as a reminder for us all to do what little bit we can to protect planet Earth … … to leave this place better off, if not, then at the very least not worse off, for our future generations.

As an incentive for those who dress-up, we’ve promised to throw in a little treat of a $20 Made With Love cash voucher for the most trendy scrapper dressed in green each Thursday for the month of May … … a way of saying thank you for helping us be a walking ambassador in promoting our efforts to be environmentally-friendly.

And big hugs to one and all who came in all shades of green today!!!

But before we announce the winner of this week’s challenge, we thought we’d feature some of the scrappers who caught our eye today in their green-colored apparel … …

Whoever said green is a difficult color to wear?

Apart from the fact that these 3 ladies look absolutely hip in green, what’s great is that it was scrapbooking that brought them together. The scrapper in the middle and on the right were also celebrating the 1st anniversary of their friendship today as it was an event at our place around the same time last year which got their friendship going. And through the past year, we’ve seen their friendship and ours with them grow.

On a personal note, it’s friendships like these that motivate us to keep doing what we’re doing … … thanks R & C for being such an encouragement.

Yet another trendy scrapper, long-time friend to Made With Love, scrapper E. Baby in tow did not slow down mommy one bit as she looks radiant in green!

Other scrappers we spotted dressed trendily in green that i captured on film were quickly pulled aside for a snapshot amidst their shopping … …  

…. … those hanging out at our in-house cafe {TABLESCRAPS} were not spared either … …

Thanks for being so sporting ladies!!!

But ultimately, we had to make our selection and drumroll pleeeease … … … …. this week’s Trendy Green Scrapper Award goes to … …  

… … this trendily dressed scrapper whose green dress print has startling similarities with this patterned paper from the Making Memories 5th Ave collection!!! Now HOOOOW do you top that?? Hahaha!!!
