And the weekend we’ve all been waiting for is almost finally here!!!! It’s our special weekend with celebrity designer Julianna Hudgins who’s flown in all the way from the U.S.A.!!!

Even though her workshops are fully booked, as promised, we’ll still have MAKE N TAKES, SUPER DUPER SHOPPING SPECIALS and HOURLY LUCKY DRAWS where prizes worth $359.95 each are given away every hour on the hour from between 2pm-6pm for all lovers of Sizzix - America’s #1 die-cutting system for 7 years running!!!

For those of you who are new to Made With Love, MAKE N TAKES are fun little creative projects you can make on the spot in under 10 minutes that you can TAKE home with you absolutely free!

But what’s so very special is that you’ll get to do these MAKE N TAKES with Julianna Hudgins and we’re so honored to have her with us.

The 1st ever Youth Olympic Games may have concluded last Thursday but that didn’t stop us from having a crop party of our own Scrap-Olympic style!

Crop attendees got dressed up for this crazy crop …. we had tennis players, a cyclist, a swimmer, a YOG volunteer who did a little “striptease”, and even a journalist who came complete with her very own handmade camera she created,  plus plenty of spectators!

But ultimately, by popular vote, it was this crop attendee who won the prize of $50 worth of Made With Love shopping vouchers. She came as a cyclist and had cycled all the way from Yio Chu Kang with crop bag and all!!!  Woohooo!!!

But if you are new to crops, we don’t just dress up for crops!!! Crop parties are also our excuse to have fun with team challenges … And at Saturday’s crop party, we had a cardmaking scrap challenge which challenged everyone in terms of speed and accuracy!!!

Wowoweee!! Did some teams get their act together real quick as production lines got started and cards were being churned out at breakneck speed.

Teams were provided scrapbook supplies and a prototype of a card to refer to and the fastest team to complete 5 cards would win prizes for the team!!!

Armed with Sizzix machines, dies and supplies, card after card was  churned out ….

But this team turned out to be the quickest and most accurate!!!

And parading the gold medal everyone received for coming to the crop!!

But that’s not all, as usual, what’s a crop without some shopping specials thrown in?

In the spirit of ScrapOlympics, we had a Speed Shopping Challenge where crop attendees were given 4 min to grab whatever their hands could carry for a very special one-time discount!!  But before that, they had to sprint to our main store from the workshop rooms….

It was tough keep everyone behind the starting line ….

But off they went when the timer started … as they sprinted to grab all that their hearts desired …

It was amazing how much they managed to grab in under 4min!!!

But back at the workshop rooms, there were other challenges like a quiz on fun facts about the recently concluded Youth Olympic Games in Singapore!

An overachieveing Team Japan even whipped out an I-pad to google for answers but ….

It was Team Singapore above who eventually won with the most number of answers correct!!

But would you believe it, amidst all the shopping and challenges …. crop attendees still managed to complete gorgeous projects like these which we managed to get snap shots of … …

Well … thanks to all who came and who were so sporting!!! We hope you had as much fun as we enjoyed having you!!!

It was a crazy 5-hour afternoon of ScrapOlympic fun and we can’t wait to scrapbook these pictures for our Made With Love scrapbook! Thanks for being a part of our wonderful memories!!!

In celebration of re-opening after a face-lift that was way overdue, we had a big party to celebrate this uber special occasion and are we deeeeeeply grateful to all scrappers who came down to make this day one of the most memorable for us! We hope you had a blast and thanks soooo much for all your words of encouragement and hugs!

We are deeply grateful for all the patience you showed us as you waited in snaking queues to get your scrapping supplies … … hopefully the chocolate covered marshmallows we gave away as you waited in line made things a little sweeter … …

And that you love the little changes we’ve made here and there around the store! ;)
