What a blast we had this past weekend at the grand opening of our first store in Indonesia at the Grand Indonesia West Mall in Jakarta!!!

Thank you sooooo much to all of you who braved the traffic and cleared your entire weekend’s schedule to come celebrate with us!!! We really hope you enjoyed yourself tremendously and had as much fun as us when we were planning and preparing all of this especially for YOU!

Here are some sneaks of what went on this past weekend for those of us who were there to reminisce over … …  oooo… we wish the party could have gone on longer… … And for those who couldn’t join us for one reason or another … perhaps this could be a taste of more to come that you can look forward to … … ;)

Specially invited guests received our invitation in the mail and armed with your passports and boarding passes, you ‘traveled’ round our ‘Around the World’ themed booths to do fun make n takes at our booths oozing with flavors from France, the Netherlands, India and America! Not before stopping at our photo booth for a quick pic for your Made With Love passport!

Stop at our photo booth for a quick pic and off to the Make n Take booths where our lovely flight attendants will assist you … First stop – France made with love style where you made a vintage-themed Make N Take as you experimented with Tim Holtz mediums, stamping and embossing techniques!

Next stop … The Netherlands, where you made flower-filled fashion and hair accessories using the amazing Sizzix Big Shot die-cutting system!!! Able to cut through over 50 materials, we had lots of die-cutting fun at this booth!

Then it was off to our India-themed booth where you played around with Tattered Angels Mists and mediums to come up with your own tag creation!

Final stop – The America-themed booth … where you made a star spangled make n take using the cutting-edge electronic die-cutting machine by Sizzix – the Eclips!!!

But that’s not all, we thank you EVERYONE who signed up for our workshops which were fully booked! We specially flew into Jakarta talented designers who offered us gorgeous and extremely fun-to-make papercrafts projects over 3 days!!!

We hope you had an awesome time learning from Designer Emeline Seet – our Made With Love Singapore DT member who is also a designer for some of our favorite brands such as Webster’s Pages, Melissa Frances and more … ….

We also had the privilege of having Designer Lia Abdullah – Head of the Maya Road Design Team come share with us more creative ideas!

And the honor of having Designer Irene Tan who has been personally hand-picked by Tim Holtz himself to design for him. She also designs for some of our most popular brands – Bo Bunny and Clear Scraps!

Fabulous prizes were also given away and here are some sneaks of a couple of the winners … …

Another treat that put lots of smiles on our faces were these lovely canapes made with much love. Decorated with patterned paper from our store … these were just too pretty to eat!

We also unveiled our very own Made With Love Design Team that’s based in Indonesia – comprising of some of the most experienced and gifted designers such as Alice Wahyuni, Lia Sutra and Ria Nirwana together with up and coming talented designers such as Lexa Levana and Paramita Armansyah! Look out for the classes and creative inspirations coming from them and scrappers in Singapore can look forward to having them come over to share with you their creativity too!

And what must also have been another highlight of the entire weekend was our Paper Couture show hosted by MTV VJ Utt!!!

In celebration of our love for paper, we engaged the very talented fashion designer Chandra Angkawijaya to design fabulous dresses made entirely of paper!

A BIG THANK YOU to DCWV for inspiring us with this fantastic concept to showcase the beauty of papers and all its creative possibilities. And our heartfelt and deepest gratitude to our immensely generous sponsors – American Crafts, Basic Grey, Crate Paper and Prima Marketing Inc for supplying us with all the beautiful paper that we selected for this momentous occasion!

We are also very thankful to all the media who attended our grand opening celebrations. We are very honored to have had you at our press conference and exclusive workshop. We are truly grateful for your presence and hope you had a fabulous time with us!

To all our dearest Made With Love Singapore scrappers … … we are gonna strive to bring you more of this kind of scrapping and shopping fun to you soon too…. We are sooooo grateful for your continued support and we reeeally hope that you’ll keep loving us the way you do.

And to all Made With Love scrappers, wherever you are located, where we haven’t gotten it right, pleeease let us know so that we can strive  to do our best to provide you with more of what you desire! We are deeply grateful for your patience and kindness with us thus far and will continue to work hard to do even better to make scrapping suuuuuuper fun and meaningful for EVERYBODY!!!
