{SEP-OCT ‘09 EVENTS @ MADE WITH LOVE AT A GLANCE}
My oh my!!! The last one and a half months have literally passed by in a blur. There was much going on at the Made With Love but … … (some of you may have known), we were also in the midst of relocating our warehouse and office all at the same time!!!
Many of you who joined in the activities have been asking us for blog updates to help you reminisce all the crazy fun you had at our events so here goes ….. from the most recent to the ones that occurred in late Sep ‘09!!!
{CROPATHON on Sat 31 Oct ‘09}
Judging from the posts a number of you have been making on our online forum for this event up till this day, and the feedback we’ve been receiving, it certainly seems that all of you had a whale of a time at our 1st ever CROPATHON of this kind! 5 one-hour mini album workshops were conducted from between 1pm-7pm with 15min breaks in between each workshop!!!! And all of you survived it in true scrapping stamina, with some scrappers even willing to scrap standing at our in-house cafe as all spots were fully booked within days of opening our registration!!!
Here are sneaks of the 5 mini albums we guided crop attendees in completing at the Cropathon!

It was one truly lengthy and fruitful crop session and what’s even better is that we got to hang out with our scrapping buddies and make new scrapping friends all at once, while creating up to 5 mini albums to take home!!! How cool is that????
Well, we promise to do this again without having to make you wait for a complete year! ;) We really found the time with all of you who participated, to be truuuuuly precious cos rarely do we, as in Sandra, Swee Ching, Kelly, Jasmine and myself, get the chance to get-together with so many of you scrappers all at once to scrap till we drop!! It was suuuuper fun sharing mini-album making techniques with you and helping you use your own stash to do up your own unique mini albums embellished by you!!!
{SPEED CROPPING & “BEER” DRINKING CONTESTS IN OCT ‘09}
In celebration of Croptober Fest 2009 at Made With Love, we had weekly speed cropping contests every Thursday evening and “Beer” Drinking Contests every Friday evening during the month of October ‘09!
Cos what’s Croptober Fest at Made With Love, without our traditional “beer” drinking contests and plenty of cropping thrown in!?!?!? Plus, winners of each week’s contests received $40 worth of Made With Love shopping vouchers each!!! WOWOWEEEEE!!!!
And here’s sneaks of what went down at these crazy contests!
For the speed cropping contests, we had a different focus each week! Week 1 saw contestants testing out their scrapping skills at SPEED EYELET SETTING! Then we had Stitching, Doodling and Paper Trimming contests …
As for the beer drinking contests, the motto that competitors seemed to live by was ‘DON’T THINK! JUST DRINK!” …. And this was to be the refrain we chanted each and every week as we cheered for all our “Beer” Drinking contestants. Here are some sneaks of the contests!
Contestants drank Laziza Beer - Believe it or not! It’s contains 0% alchohol!!! And it looks like real beer and tastes like beer!!!
Way to go!!! GIRL POWER!!! This female scrapper beat 2 other male competitors hands-down!!!! Pheeeweeeet!!!!
{F1 OVERNIGHT CROP PARTY on Fri. 25 Sep ‘09}
Our one-and-only overnight crop party for this year was an amazing crop that sped by in the blink of an eye! With so much going on at the party, many of us were amazed at how quickly time flew by that night! Here’s a glimpse at all the activites that crop attendees sped through at the crop!!!
Of course, in true Made With Love style, die-hard crop attendees always make the effort to dress up for some serious partying! That and to win $40 worth of Made With Love shopping vouchers!!! Check out what crop attendees turned up in!!!
Swee Ching was a flag pole!! LOL!!! And check out the Singtel Grid Girl in the middle and a walking chequered flag on the right!! She hand painted each and every white check on this black dress!!! Talk about being a dedicated crop-party goer!!!! WOWOWEEEEE!!!!

And the winner was this scrapper - who looked every bit the SINGTEL Grid Girl!!! Pheeeweeeet!!!!
But the fashion parade was only the beginning of a night of crazy contests!!! We had both scrapping and shopping contests throughout the night and SPEED WAS THE NAME OF THE GAME given it was an F1-themed crop party!
Check out the frenzied shopping that went on that night!!! Teams were given 5 minutes to pick out $50 worth of scrapping supplies!! Teams got to keep whatever they threw into their shopping baskets, if it was within budget at the end of 5 minutes. The team whose purchase amount came closest to $50 won!!! If there was a tie then the team with the most number of items purchased within budget would win and receive a bonus prize on top of getting to keep whatever they speed-shopped for!!!

With plenty of lovely prizes and more shopping vouchers to be given away for other challenges like the F1 Singapore Grand Prix Quiz and more!

Shopping specials were thrown in here and there throughout the night and a cropping contest ran on from the start till the end of the crop party!!!
There was an Artist Trading Card challenge! And crop attendees did an exchange!! It was a great way to make new scrapping friends!! :)
And this talented scrapper won eventually for scrapping a truly gorgeous layout despite all the distractions at the overnight crop!!!
Thanks to chenta, we were “re-fueled” with yummy food and drinks she prepared ….
And as usual, we can always count on these 2 for comic relief!!! Had to remind them it was one more month to Halloween!!!!
It was truly an overnight crop to remember!!! With plenty of speed shopping and speed scrapping happening that night!!! Everyone emerged a winner in one way or another!! Hope everyone had as much fun at this crop as we had planning for it!!!
