Thanks for waiting so patiently! Here are the sneaks of samples so you’ll know what you can look forward to creating this Saturday at our long-awaited event of the month - CROPTOBER FEST CROPATHON!!!
We regret that we couldn’t display them at the store in the end cos they’re all mini albums hand-made from scratch and we were afraid that they’d be mangled even before the first week of the month is over! Good for you if you got to see them when they were first at the store. Anyhow, we we took them home with us but one thing led to another and we apologise for not posting the pictures up sooner.
Whatever it is, here are the sneaks!! And we are sooooo excited to be able to do this for all of us! We are reeeeally looking forward to having a scrapping good time with everyone this coming Saturday!

POP-UP MINI ALBUM
Create a simple-to-do but extremely fun-to-make eye-popping pop-up mini album! This novel project gives you plenty of opportunity to use up a variety of patterned papers and embellishments and let’s you try your hand at crafting your own embellishments too! It is also a perfect platform for you to use a mixture of photographs you don’t consider “well-taken’ enough to use on a large layout. How’s that for getting plenty accomplished in a single mini-album project?!?
Things to bring:-
- 3 patterned papers (cardstock quality) for base of mini album*
- 3 patterned papers (cardstock quality) for “walls” of mini album*
- 1 patterned paper (not of cardstock quality) for covers of mini album
- 4 pcs of 5” border strips (in paper or hambly overlay form) for top of “walls’ of mini album**
- as many coordinating embellishments you wish to bring
- plenty of 3D foam dots or pop-up dots
- plenty of tape glue
- precision tip scissors
- 6-10 photos (all able to be cropped into silhouette form)
Tips for when prepping supplies to bring to workshop:-
How to select patterned paper to bring:
* When selecting your patterned papers, make sure that they are color- coordinated and that the prints on the patterned papers are a mixture of heavy weight and light-weight prints. Small repeat patterned prints work well for this mini album concept too. For print design on patterned paper, remember that the less fussy the better so that your embellishments can really stand out.
Prepping border strips:
** If you do not have ready made border strips you can always make your own with the help of cardstock./patterned paper and border paper punches as well. You could also hand-cut your own border strips too.
What’s provided at the cropathon:-
- 1 pack of American Crafts Thickers worth up to $8.50
- border punches to be on loan
