Each year, National Scrapbooking Day falls on the 1st Saturday of the month of May. It was first created in 1994 by the U.S. National Scrapbooking Association as a way to promote and celebrate the love for scrapbooking. Over the years, more and more countries around the world, where the love for scrapbooking has grown, have adopted this same day to be their very own National Scrapbooking Day.

As you have read from our April ‘09 Loveletter, our Annual NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY Fun Fair is finally round the corner and happening in just 2 days’ time!!!

DATE: SAT. 2 MAY ‘09, 12pm-7pm

VENUE: MADE WITH LOVE

In keeping with tradition, this is one of the biggest events of every year at Made With Love and IF YOU LOVE TO SCRAP and/or SHOP FOR SCRAP SUPPLIES then you have GOT TO COME!!! This is one Made With Love experience not to be missed!!! Try your hand at our insanely fun and unique games stalls and win yourself fabulous prizes! And do bring your loved ones along to have an afternoon of crazy fun with us!

If you’re an experienced Made With Love scrapper, we know this event needs no introduction! ;)

If you’re new to scrapping, come see how we transform our place into a fun fair play ground, where there are super duper fun games stalls that you can have a roaring good time at and bring home fabulous prizes at the same time!!!

This year, we have a record high of over $23,500 worth of sponsored scrapbook products from our American suppliers for prizes that must be given away at the fun fair and throughout the month of May!!!

We had a Go Green theme that focused on being environmentally-friendly at last year’s fun-fair! :)

There will always be complimentary National Scrapbooking Day Fun Fair commemorative Make-N-Takes to be done by fun-fair attendees … …

Yes … last year, we had snaking queues all the way to the entrances of our neighbouring eateries …. but not to worry … this year, we’re gonna do our best to cut down on the queueing time to snap up your desired supplies.

And  ooooo … our games stalls … we aim to come up with even more fun scrap-related games each year …

Yes … it can get a little squeezy but it can still be reeeeeally fun  …. you gotta try it to believe it. ;)

And don’t miss out on your chance to see what SweeCh is gonna come dressed up in this year! LOL!!!!

We were egg-xtremely thrilled to receive all the submissions for this challenge!!! It is clear from all the intricate details that we saw, that we have one very talented bunch of scrappers who don’t let the lack of surface area get in the way of their scrapping skills and creativity!!!

Many thought out of the box, or rather the EGG …. sorry … couldn’t resisit that … … and came up with fabulous-looking eggs!!!

And after an egg-xtremely gruelling round of decision-making … … we are finally able to declare that … …

Yes, as the participants of this challenge can testify, plenty of effort was involved, as it is no mean feat trying to clean out the eggs … although we did receive a couple of hard-boiled eggs …. which were reeeeally adorable on the outside …. and like us … ants were also very attracted to them! LOL!!!  Not to worry, we fended them off! :)

Hello scrappers !!! A couple of exciting events in the next few weeks with National Scrapbooking Day as well as the fabulously talented Celine Navarro …… can you bear to wait ??? The much anticiapted techniques filled classes will add so much to your personal repertoire of skills in creating layouts brimming with texture and colour.

Talking about talent : 3 of the Made With Love Design team have used their talents to come up with layouts using the products available in the store. Check them out!

We would like to annouce that both Jacq and Erlia will be moving on and leaving the Made With Love Design Team. A huge thank you to both for their talented  contributions to the store and as they meet new challenges in areas of scrapbooking and their lives, please join us in wishing them many, many successes ahead.

What is good now : we are seeing more scrappers adding their work to the Gallery and want to say  **keep those layouts and projects coming !!!**. It’s getting to be really fun seeing all the amazing work of scrappers who were previously laying low, who now share their stories with us . Online galleries are a great way to compile your layouts, it’s where you get to visually see your progress month to month,  a chance for feedback from other scrappers and if you ever decide to apply for a Design Team, an online Gallery gives you added credibility by supporting to your submission.
