It was one wild and insane afternoon of cropping and shopping as Scrap Idol Crop attendees came dressed to crop and roll!!! Everyone was asked to come dressed in her ROCK CHICK BEST and what a sight it was!!!
Making a special appearance that rocked the house down were … … THE HANGOVER SISTERS!!!! SweeCh and IreneG (our newest designer to join our Made With Love Design Team) were not only dressed to kill but their hilarious antics almost made many of us keel over in laughter!!!
Check out their matching tatts and undereye circles … … you’d think in real life they were mommies by day and the HANGOVER SISTERS Rock Chick Band by night!!!
They “peddled drugs” …. everyone was given a packet of “drugs” which strangely resembled mints … … and demanded their booze!
They tried to entertain all crop attendees with their guitar playing “skills” … … failing which … …
… they preyed on unsuspecting innocent young boys! But Marcus boy … … with a t-shirt with the words “KISS ME” scribbled on it, you were reeeally asking for it!!! LOL!!! :P
Not to be outdone, a number of crop attendees really went all out and were smoking hot in their own Rock Chick get-ups!
SweeCh a little carried away with a bit of head-banging here … … :P
And like the true celebrities they were, the Hangover Sisters stopped to pose for the “paparazzi” with other Rock Chicks who attended the crop.
Back in the scrap labs after the fashion parade, scrapping began in earnest and all too soon, it was time for scrap challenges synonymous with our crop parties!!!
And boy! Did they listen intently as they were given instructions … …
Crop attendees were split into teams and they were required to scrap lift this layout above. The rule was that it had to be an exact copy, with not a single measurement or positioning of embellishments off.
Eventually, it was a close call, almost evenly matched in terms of their scores, one team won for speed and the other accuracy and so $100 worth of embellishments kindly sponsored by Making Memories were given to one and all!!!
Crop Shopping Specials were announced during the break before the next challenge and crop attendees could choose to carry on scrapping and mingling or hit the ground running to go shopping!!!
The Hangover Sisters doing a bit of window-shopping themselves … … they were too hung over to tell the difference between bottles of glimmer mist and their beer bottles!!! :P
And before they could have another round of “yam seng”, it was time for the Shopping Challenge!!!
Teams were each given a Bo Bunny shopping trolley which they had to quickly assemble and this was their task - Teams were each given a budget of $50 and their job was to purchase as many items as they could without busting the budget! The team which managed to purchase the most no. of items within budget would win EVERYTHING in their shopping trolley!!! Buuuuut the rules were: They could not pick more than 1 of the same type of item, member discounts and specials did not apply and no calculators were allowed!
And at the word,”GO!” teams were off scrambling to get their hands on all manner of supplies.
Watching in anticipation as the items were scanned into our POS system for the final purchase amount!
It was a close fight as teams were neck to neck in the number of items they managed to purchase with a budget of $50 each!
Purchases were verified and the final verdict? … …
One team actually managed to purchase 23 items at a total of $49.95 but they were disqualified for having 2 of the same type of items in their shopping trolley and so … … it was this team above which won with their purchase of 20 items at a total of $48.50.
Just look at what they managed to purchase below … they even strategised how the items could be split amongst themselves. For e.g. by purchasing the repeated print Butterfly motif patterned paper, it could be cut up and split amongst themselves so everyone could have cut-outs of the butterflies if they wanted!!! Talk about savvy and thoughtful shoppers who can do it all under pressure!!! Wowoweeee!!!

But they were not the only winners and recipients of prizes. At the crop, 2 other prizes were also given away.
Votes were cast by all crop attendees and by popular vote, this crop attendee won the prize of extra specials discounts for being the Best Dressed!!!
She came complete with a hand-made electric guitar!!!
And self-made dangly ear rings that were oh-so-cool!!!
And check out the amazing brooch she made for herself!!!
She really gave the Hangover Sisters a run for their money!!! ;P
Not to be outdone, they tried in their “intoxicated” state to scrap a little and surprisingly IreneG managed to design this layout for Made With Love … …
Crop attendees held their fort too and despite the distractions of scrap and shopping challenges plus specials and the harrassment they experienced from the Hangover Sisters …. they managed to get quite a bit of scrapping done … check out some of the submissions for the final scrap challenge … their task was to sneak time in through the course of the party to complete at least 1 creative project but the rule was that at least 1 scrapping supply from their goody bag had to be used on their projects!

And it was this scrapper above who by popular vote was declared Scrap Idol for designing layouts that were most liked by fellow crop attendees and she received a $100 worth of scrapping supplies that were kindly sponsored by Making Memories!!!
What a day it was!!! A big Thank YOU to all who came!!! It was so cool seeing you make new friends and letting your hair down with us!!! And thanks soooo much too to the Hangover Sisters who spared no effort in making this one truly unforgettable crop party that gave us all a rocking good time!!!
