::FAR FLUNG CRAFT PRODUCT LAUNCH PARTY on 1 NOV ‘07::

What a proud and happy day for Kristy and Faye, owners of Far Flung Craft who’ve toiled to bring to us not 1 but 2 Asian-inspired patterned paper collections. And so in celebration of their Batik and Bollywood collections, we threw a launch party for these dear friends of ours to introduce their luscious new products to one and all!!!

No effort was spared to decorate the scrap labs to transform them into Asian habitats befitting this wonderful launch!!!

Fellow scrapping friend, Mavis, earlier on in the day had painstakingly cut out these floral motifs from one of Far Flung Craft’s newly designed patterned papers to decorate this paper lantern which was the centerpiece of our “Batik Room”. It was so sweet of her.

Some of the Asian-themed fruit on top of the delectable chicken curry, murtabak, samosas and fried noodles that Chenta prepared for us!!! Sedaaaap!!! (translates: delicious)

Champagne flowed freely but i swear that’s me just looking tired and not tipsy at all … …

The make-n-takes designed by Sharon - designer from the Far Flung Craft Design Team were well-liked and don’t you just love the way they were presented?

A gorgeous chipboard album designed by Sharon again … … amazing how some Stickles can add so much glam to this truly Asian inspired piece.

And of course, this breath-taking layout by Aida that’s just out-of-this-world!!! Look at the texture, the details … … we’re speechless each time our eyes lay on them.
By the way, more pictures and details will be uploaded when Jas’ photos are ready. :) She’s got the great shots of all of you who attended the launch party. :)
But for now … some shots from {Behind the scenes …..}

Sandra looks absolutely ravishingly Bollywood-like. ;)

Sandra, Anita and Malee let their hair down and engaged in a little bit of Bollywood-type dancing at the end of the day to unwind ;) … …

Here i am, at the end of the party, trying to neaten the shelves with my little 2-year-old…it’s good to start them young …hehehehe ;P…..but oh how the Stickles went in a flash during the launch. All of us at the launch were intrigued at how it looked so amazing with the new Bollywood and Batik collections. Thanks to Sharon and Aida for inspiring us so much… :)

And huge thanks to mom & dad for helping me watch over Lucas as i pottered around the store with the rest of the team and john (…my long-suffering dh who really doesn’t need to do this) to pack up at the end of the day!:)
Look out for inclusions to this blog entry soon for more exciting reports on the launch party. :)
